"Christmas List"

Due to the fact my computer just deleted forty-five minutes worth of bloggage, I present you with this substitute bullet-point blog.

Things to do with the last precious moments of winter break:

* Fight the dramatic influx of new years resolution-having people for a treadmill at the local YMCA.

* Hold good natured, hyper competitive wii tournaments with the family. (Refrain from the drawing of blood).

* Get up before dawn with a cup of black coffee, listen to blue grass music and review maps of London.

* Have a last frolic with your irreplaceable high school friends before they head to their respective places of study.

* Watch movies from your childhood. Try to ignore the inappropriate references that you did not understand as a kid and let them destroy your innocent memories.

* Discover the joy of nutella crepes. Just do it.

* Watch House MD through your fingers- the surgery scenes are worth the experience of Gregory House's glorious, dry wit.

* Try local coffee shops. Refuse to give into McDonalds' offer of cheap caffeinated beverages. I will not be bought with coupons and cinnamon syrup, McDonalds. (You know, unless I'm really thirsty).

* Eat pumpkin pie for breakfast. Your gourd group is important.

* Use your JMC production class skills to film awkward family moments. Destroy said filmage of awkward family moments. (Or create a montage put to the theme of a jimmy eat world song).

Morning People

The ordeal of exams has been over for nearly a week now. The horror that be seven exams in three days has passed- time to relax. Right?

So why am I getting up at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow for an hour and a half of a cardio-vascular intensive workout?

Because I love my dad- lots. And apparently, bonding at the YMCA is more meaningful than say, a chat over caffeinated beverages.

Speaking of, I'm going to be needing alot of them this week.

Quick update:
This is the new t-shirt design for the RUF camping trip in November. There's still a bit of time before these things are printed and ordered so let me know what you all think. I'm open to suggestions.
This will be the back of the shirt. The front will have the same color scheme and feature the words "Ruf'n it" just like last year.

Retreat

This is hopefully what the back of the RUF fall retreat shirt will look like. Listed below the fabulous tree are all of the churches/RUF groups that will be attending.

You should come so that you can get a free shirt!

(Or a $75 shirt- if you're a pessimist)

Oh yeah, and we'll be learning more about God while in his awesome creation.

I can't wait!

*Edit* Pictured above is not the lemming tree, unless you really want to think of it as such.

New Header

Hooray!
I finally got to add the header that I whipped up in Corel. As I become more familiar with my wacom tablet I think I'll be posting more attempts at graphic art.

Joyous Day

So for a couple of years now I have been silently mourning the fact that the blogging trend has been replaced by a less satisfying means of self expression and communication: facebook.

But today I realized that that doesn’t have to be the case. So I set this up for myself. I’m excited to finally get back into blogging!

(Hopefully this won't distract me too much from my weekly slew of actual writing assignments.)

More to come.
